SV Elation
Elation is the ‘dream boat’ for us! A 2018 Amel 55 Hull #64, she is a very well built and designed ketch rigged monohull that is extremely comfortable and safe.
One of the defining features of Amels are their protected cockpits and this was a key factor in our decision to seek out used Amel 55’s for sale. The covered cockpit allows us to have a family friendly, safe and comfortable outdoor area that is ideal in all conditions.
Additionally, her sail handling is quite literally, push button. We have numerous trim options between the Gennaker, Genoa, Staysail, Mainsail and Mizzen to optimize our sailing performance and comfort. Most importantly, very rarely, do we need to leave the cockpit to manage sails, in keeping with our goal of safety first.
We love our boat, and frankly have to pinch ourselves everyday that we were fortunate enough to be in a position to purchase her and that the stars seemed to align between us, the seller and the broker as these boats were not easy to come by post pandemic. In fact, Elation, did not make it to the market before we had purchased her.
